Maybank MyTiger Values Art Competition 2018

Illustration student, Teh Sze Shio, won the 1st prize and received the prize money of RM3,000 in the category of Sequential Art – Single Panel to 8 Panel Editorial Cartoon / Comics (Conventional / Print / Digital) organized by Maybank Foundation on 10 August 2018.

Vision Petron National Student Art Competition 2018

Illustration student, Yeap Fong Ray, won the consolation prize and received the prize money of RM500 in the category of Art Painting organized by Petron Malaysia on 12 September 2018.

UCSI International Piano Competition 2018

Music student, Sean Gan, participated in the UCSI International Piano Competition 2018 and was awarded the 2nd prize in the Senior Category.

2018 – The 5th Hong Kong International Music Festival Competition

MIA Ladies Chorus and Men’s Chorus participated in the 5th Hong Kong International Music Festival Competition. In the preliminary round, the Men’s Chorus received an Outstanding Gold whilst the Ladies Chorus was awarded a Silver. In addition, they performed at the ‘Malaysian Preliminary Round 2018 Award and Concert Night’ on 28 July 2018.

5th National Harmonica Competition 2018

Music student, Ho Kah Kean, was crowned the champion in the Tremolo Harmonica Solo category and 1st runner-up in both Duet and Trio categories with his team members from the HummingWay Harmonica Ensemble in the 5th National Harmonica Competition 2018 organised by Fresco Music at DPAC.
