Executive, Accounts

Job Responsibilities:
  • To prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Report to management regarding the finances of establishment.
  • Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.
  • Develop, maintain and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
  • Develop, implement, modify and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology.
  • Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel, and direct their work activities.
  • Interact with company banking and financial partners, auditor, tax advisory agency and company secretary.
  • Preparation of full set of accounts, including annual budget and cash flow statements of the Institute.
  • Responsible for daily cash handling / accounting operations.
  • Prepare daily or weekly report of Accounts Department.
  • Other duties assigned by the Institute from time to time.
Requirements:
  • Candidates must possess at least a Diploma in Finance / Accounting / Administration or equivalent with at least 2 years related working experience.
  • Able to handle full set of accounts and with a good knowledge of accounting standards and practices.
  • Familiar with UBS accounting system and proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Candidates fluent in mandarin preferred as role requires candidate to deal with mandarin speaking clients.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with ability to communicate comfortably in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision and able to multi task.

Dean of Studies

Job Responsibilities:
  • To manage, supervise and monitor all the academic departments of the Institute
  • To ensure delivery of the Department’s contribution to the Institute strategic plans.
  • To support and develop academic leadership in the department and wider community.
  • To provide appropriate and effective management of the Departmental budgets.
  • To ensure effective representation of the Department’s interests within and outside the Institute.
  • To ensure that the activities of the Department are undertaken in accordance with the governance, policy and regulatory frameworks of the Institute.
  • To coordinate and advise curriculum and syllabus planning, development, revision or update for both on-going and new courses of the Institute in line with the policies of the Institute.
  • To assist in establishing local and international collaboration / link with other educational institutions and creative / design industries / institutions.
  • To take charge of the development, planning and implementation of course syllabus and MQA documentation and ISO Audit.
  • To teach and carry out other duties related to the teaching of courses.
  • To carry out research and produce publications in line with the organisation’s and personal objectives where necessary.
  • To assist in developing the guidelines and system adhering to QA, review and ensure proper implementation of QA policies and procedures in adhering to the MIA, MQA, MOHE and other best practices.
  • To assist for MIA’s events during peak period, when required.
  • Other duties assigned by the Institute from time to time.
Requirements:
  • Candidates must possess at least a Master in Arts & Design / Educational Administration / Educational Leadership with at least 5 years related working experience.
  • Strong academic leadership skills and broad understanding of academic fields.
  • Able to work in a team or individually and requires minimum supervision.
  • Good in planning and executing the planned tasks.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills in both written and spoken English.

Lecturer in Interior Design

Job Responsibilities:
  • To teach at Degree level.
  • To contribute to the development, planning and implementation of course syllabus.

Requirements:
  • Candidates must possess a Masters in Architecture / Interior Design with at least two years working experience in Interior & Architecture Design industry.
  • And / or well versed in Interior Architecture design studio and / or strong technical skills such as Architectural Detailing / Interior Construction, 3D Interior Design modelling tools, Digital imaging etc.
  • Good communication skills in both written and spoken English.
