MINIMUM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS (MALAYSIAN STUDENTS ONLY)

Applicants who fulfilled the following minimum entry requirement can apply to study at MIA by submitting the relevant application form together with a non-refundable application fee of RM 250.

  • SPM with minimum 1 credit in any  subjects and passes in Bahasa Malaysia and Sejarah; or
  • UEC with minimum 1 Grade B in any subjects; or
  • O-Level with minimum 1 Grade C in any subjects; or
  • Any equivalent qualification recognized by the Malaysian government.

  • UEC with minimum 3 Grade B in any subjects; or
  • O-Level with minimum 3 Grade C in any subjects; or
  • Any other equivalent qualification recognized by the Malaysian government; AND
    1. Grade 5 in practical and theory for piano (A.B.R.S.M. certificate or equivalent); or
    2. Grade 4 in practical and theory for other musical instruments (A.B.R.S.M. certificate or equivalent); or
    3. Pass audition arranged by MIA.
Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Interior Architecture and Design 3+0 in collaboration with Birmingham City University, UK

  • Pass STPM with minimum 2 Grade C including a pass in SPM English; or
  • Pass Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with minimum 5 Grade B including a pass in English; or
  • Pass A-Level with minimum 2 Grade C; or
  • Pass Diploma (Level 4, MQF) in relevant recognized field or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.00; or
  • Pass Matriculation / Foundation or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.00; or Other qualification recognized by the government of Malaysia; AND
    1. Pass Malaysian University English Test (MUET) with at least Band 1; and
    2. Submit Portfolio. For applicants with Diploma qualification, please submit your final year Diploma Project Portfolio (to be saved in CD in pdf format, file size less than 5MB. Email is also acceptable).
