On 19th March 2019, Fine Art semester 3 student, Yong Hui Lin, won the First Prize of the Sketching Competition that was held in conjunction with ArtEDecor 2019.
The CEO of MATRADE Exhibition and Convention Centre, Mr.Nor Azmi Sulong presented the cash prize, certificate and painting worth RM2000 to Hui Lin at MIA Main Campus.
A total of 3 artworks were also sold in the ArtEDecor event. 2 of the artworks were sold to AirAsia Executive Chairman, Dato’ Kamarudin Meranun while another one was bought by a private collector.
On 8th March 2019, 4 alumnae, 2 up-coming graduates and 1 part time lecturer from Fine Art Department showcased their artworks at “RRRAWRRR!!! Maybank’s Emerging Women Artists Show 2019”. The exhibition ran from 8th – 23rd March 2019 at Balai Seni Menara Maybank.
