The Illustration Department is proud to announce that two of our students received prestigious awards at the MAYBANK MyTIGER VALUES ART COMPETITION 2026, organised by the Maybank Foundation in May 2026.
The competition received an impressive 3,213 entries from 2,912 students across the primary, secondary and university categories. The competition encouraged young artists to explore and communicate Maybank’s TIGER values, in combination with 12 selected United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and awareness of the Malayan tiger.
The MIA Illustration Department achieved notable recognition in the University category, with two students receiving awards:

These achievements highlight the students’ ability to translate important social, environmental and sustainability themes into compelling visual narratives. Their success demonstrates the creativity, originality and versatility of MIA Illustration students across different visual disciplines.
