Graphic Design students won big in NOVA Young Innovators Design Challenge 2025

Students from the Malaysian Institute of Art (MIA) have once again showcased their creative excellence on the national stage. Lee Yi Kai and Tan Jou Thong, both Diploma in Graphic Design students, clinched Third Prize in the Poster Design and Logo Design categories respectively at the NOVA Young Innovators Design Challenge 2025. 

The competition attracted entries from young creatives across the country, challenging participants to think innovatively and communicate impactful ideas through visual design. Lee Yi Kai’s poster was lauded for its compelling visual storytelling and strong conceptual direction, while Tan Jou Thong’s logo design stood out for its clean execution and versatile branding approach. 

These achievements reflect the high standards of design education and the emphasis on industry-relevant skills at MIA.
