Fine Art semester 5 student, Isabel Yap Ye Ern, won the Special Prize Award in the Mellow Art Award. This award was organized by Mellow. Love, an art online platform based in Japan.

TGV Home of the Heroes Fan Art Contest 2020

Graphic Design semester 4 student, Low Kian Hoa, was one of the top 10 winners in the TGV Cinemas Fan Art Contest 2020. The top 10 artworks were chosen by renowned artist, Alan Quah and were put up at selected TGV cinema locations.

Graphic Design Final Year student, Sean Ee Zhi Han, was one of the winners in the Top 10 TGV Cinemas Fan Art Contest 2020. The topic was “Celebrating our Frontline Heroes” and the top 10 artworks were chosen by renowned artist, Alan Quah.

Italian Design Day Design Competition 2020

Congratulations to Tay Soon Teong, an Industrial Design Department’s student, for winning First Prize in the Italian Design Day Design Competition! He has received RM2000 and a certificate for his achievement.

Illustration student, Ya Hui Yee’s artwork has been selected as one of the Top 10 winners for this contest with the theme: Celebrating Frontline Heroes organized by TGV Malaysia.

MAYBANK MyTiger Values Art Competition 2020

Illustration semester 5 student, Ruth Kok JinJue’s work won the Juries Choice Award (Sequential Art) in the competition held by the Maybank Foundation. She walked away with RM500 and a certificate.

Young Art Entrepreneurship

Illustration recent graduate, Lo Yen Yen was selected for the 3-month YAE – Young Art Entrepreneurship programme from October 2020–January 2021. The programme was sponsored and organised by the National Art Gallery.

Art Against AIDS Art Competition 2020

Illustration student, Leong Sok Yeng’s work “Living in Harmony with Nature” won the Jury’s Pick Award in the competition held by KAREX Malaysia. She walked away with RM1500 prize money and a certificate.

Virtual International Music Competition 2020

On 29th January 2021, alumni Chong Shereen and Semester 1 Music student Kellvintren Loo Gunasegaran were announced as the winners of the First Prize in the Virtual International Music Competition 2020, respectively in the Vocal Open Category and Vocal Senior School Category.
