This inspirational and practical fashion design course is aimed at students who would like to explore the fashion design process, but have little or no prior experience. Immerse in the world of fashion designers and understand how fashion designers undertake the fashion design process. You will be taught about the beginning stage of fashion design process, from research, developing ideas, theme, colours and fabrics into presentation stage.  By the end of the course, you will take the all-important first step on your journey with Fashion Design. You will have learnt the fundamental skills needed to research, plan and design a collection, and developed techniques to allow you to communicate your creative vision to others.

About the Instructor:

Tan Yong Tiong graduated from MIA with a Diploma in Textile and Fashion Design in 2000. He is the founder of Laguna Sydney which was launched in Sydney Australia in 2015. He has over 20 years of working experiences in the fashion retail industry. Besides designing for commercial, he has been tutoring and lecturing at MIA for Textile and Fashion design subjects since year 2011 till now.
